Engaged or engaged??

‘I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus’
Philippians 3:14

Many times in my life, I wished that I have a direct line to God. Yet, indeed I have, through Jesus Christ His One and Only beloved Son.

Yet, I often end up losing connection with God

‘For that which I do I allow not; for what I would, that do I not;
but what I hate, that do I
Romans 7:15

Why do I often disengaged with God instead of staying engaged???

1. I believe but I will like to see more signs so that my faith can be increased!!

‘They said therefore unto him, What sign showest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee?’
John 6:30

2. I know God forgives, God is slow to punish, so it is ok to sin for now!!

‘Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil’
Ecclesiastes 8:11

Is a ‘loose connection’ with God, a lose lose situation for us??

1. By grace we are saved, by works we glorify God.


‘What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?’
Can such faith save him?
……..faith by itself if it is not accomplished by action, is dead’
James 2:14

2. It is the command of God???

‘Anyone then who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins’
James 4:16


3. God is patient, yet God is awesome

‘For man also know not his time…..when it falls suddenly upon him’
Ecclesiastes 9:12

4. Do answer God’s call while you still have a life to respond with

‘For to him that is joined to all the living is hope…….
For the living know that they shall die but the dead know not anything neither have they any more a reward…’
Ecclesiastes 9:4-5

5. Therefore, do not dither, but pick up the call from God and response to the leading of the Holy Spirit

‘He who observes the wind will not sow, and he that regards the clouds shall
not reap’
Ecclesiastes 11:4



So, what is the call of God for all believers??


‘My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should convert him.

Let him know, that he which convert the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.’
James 5:19-20


What about the pending believers??

For my friends who are still searching, do take the first step of faith, for we know not when the final call will be
