Mlworship#7 God's affirmation(28th Aug 2003)

God’s affirmation: Crocodile tales(28th Aug 03)

Christians tend to be perceived as irrational. This is true when we judge within our limited human understandings. But when we have been blessed to see God’s grace, it is perfectly rational.

God as in the bible does affirm His words through a 2nd dream. So if you think that this is truly God at work, do read on, if not it is still an enjoyable ‘silly’ tale.

Last nite, I had a 2nd dream. Less dramatic and intense, hence a dream and not an experience with God, but nevertheless enlightening.

I dream’t that I was staying in a very comfortable house set amongst a cluster of other houses in an idyllic lush tropical setting, located in a rejuvenated swamp.
My neighbours were swimming in the river fronting our houses, with the hills to their left and palm trees swaying.

The calm was interrupted by the appearance of 3-4 hugh crocodiles(supposed to be long exterminated) swimming towards my neighbours from their back. As I waved and shouted frantically to them to get out, they either ignored me in their bliss or just waved me off.

In just a few seconds, they were all make a meal of and to my horrors, the crocodiles were rushing to get into my house through my lovely full glass windows. I struggled with my kids to close the windows and by God’s grace, we managed to push them out.

What is the message? Time to be a vegetarian, the meaty type are taking their revenge.

God led me to this verse this morning:

- Deuteronomy 6
In brief:
: God bless us plentifully
: in response, our heart must be right with God
: to do that, we must keep his words in our heart always
: or risk being corrupted and incurring His wrath.

Interestingly, if you compare yesterday’s verse Proverbs 6 and todays Deuteronomy 6, they basically address the same issue

Thank God for His grace and blessings

‘Whoever trust in the Lord shall be safe’
Proverbs 29:25

An afternote

- interestingly, I was at the Jacuzzi at valley park(on Sat 13 Sep 03) when the panoramic scene in front of me striked me as closely resembling the tropical resort in my dreams

- Junie’s word for me was to uphold and lead my family to God

Thank God for His grace and reassurances
