Ever felt like a donkey sometimes?
I do especially in my down days, when the pasture seems less luxuriant, when the flowers smell less lovely and when doing right is not bright.
I know God is in control, but is He steering me right??
'The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water;
He turneth it whithersoever He will.
Proverbs 21:1
Stop braying and moaning, don't you know that God knows best??
'Every way of a man is right in his own eyes;
But the Lord pondereth the hearts'
Proverbs 21:2
True. But my best does not seem good enough for God and I cannot seem to find rest in His best!!
'To do justice and judgement Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice'
Proverbs 21:3
Be patient and stay faithful. God will answer you.
'....for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure, which is a manifest token of the righteous judgement of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer...'
2 Thessalonians 1:4-5
But when???
'A wicked man hardeneth his face'
But as for the upright, He directeth his way.
Proverbs 21:29
Rather than be like the stubborn old mule which we can be, we should learn to ask the Lord
'why not and not why.'
'There is no wisdom nor understanding. Nor counsel against the Lord.
The horse is prepared against the day of battle;
But safety is of the Lord'
Proverbs 21:30-31
As we exercise the free will that God gives us, to let go and trust in Him, we will begin to feel God's presence in the midst of our life.
'For God may speak in one way or in another. Yet man does not perceive it.
In a dream , in a vision of the night.
When deep sleep falls upon men.
While slumbering on their beds.
Then He opens the ears of men and seal their instructions.
Job 33:14-17
When we stumble, when we tumble, when we stop the grumble and still our hearts, to listen to God,
we will hear God's loving rebuke
'He openeth also their ear to discipline
And commandeth that they return from iniquity'
Job 36:10
Painful as it is, I have learned to be thankful for the tribulations of life.
Without it, man on their own understanding, tend to do what is right,not recognizing or realising that below it, is eternal damnation.
With it, in our lows, we learned to seek the unfathomable God, do what seems illogical in our eyes, and learned overtime that what seems wrong in our eyes, was a long journey of refinement for us, to be able to enter an eternal life of joy and peace.
'He keepeth back his soul from the pit
And his life from perishing by the sword'
Job 33:18
Some of us might recall that Jesus Christ rode on a donkey, the day He was glorified and placed in high esteem by the Israelites.
Let us strive to be like that donkey upon which the glory of God rests upon
God Blesses
