'What does man gain from all his labour at which he
toils under the sun?'
Ecclesiastes 1:3
The show "I know Stupid 2" provides an interesting
allegory, as least for me.
What does our children truly need?? Like the parents
in the show, in not showing empathy, it led to a sense
of apathy in their kids.
What about most of us??
We have time to pursue our many passions, but rarely
spare even a droplet of compassion.
We worry, but never tarry to carry the burden of those
who are weary
Most need to be leery to stay cheery.
And you would be deem crazy to put total faith in what
to most is at best, a God who is hazy.
Just last week, I found out that a very committed
brother in Christ was down with stage 4 stomach
cancer.
'As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes
like a flower of the field, the wind blows over it and
it is gone, and its place rememembers it no more'
Psalm 103:14
Since time immemorial, men have strived and strifed to
build a legacy for their future generations, if not
themselves.
Some are great but dead empire builders eg Alexandra
the Great, Genghis Khan. Others evoke great fear and
pain eg Hitler and Stalin.
On a lesser scale, the more common men either built
wealth that sadly don't last more than 3 generations
while some leave behind fond memories for loved ones.
But truly, what should one's epitah be??
'..the Lord's love is with him who fear God, and His
righteousness with his children's children -
with those who keep His covenant and remember to obey
His precepts'
Psalm 103:17-18
God Blesses
