#40 My wasted years(2may2005)

Behold the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharoah hear me, who is of uncircumcised lips?'

The Prince of Egypt is a popular animated movie that children loved.

Sorcery is to Harry Potter, miracles are from God



Man often judge from their natural senses of sight and experiences.



I believe in what I see, even then, it is often I see what I want to believe.



Many Christians(be it Protestants or Catholics) profess to know about God which is no advantage for even the demons know about Jesus and God



But do they truly know God??



The demons do and they cringe at the sight or even upon hearing the name of Jesus Christ.



What about us humans??



To know a person well, we have to spend time together, experience together the troughs and peaks of our lives, hand in hand and often be prepared to open up the inner sanctums of our hearts and minds.



God is an 'open' book. For the Word is God, and God is the Word. The Bible is there.



'And this gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached unto all nations and then shall the end come'

Mathew 24:14



The resources might be available, but I have more pressing worldly needs, says some



'And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel, but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit and of cruel bondage'

I have time, I am searching, but I do not like nor agree with what I hear??

I still do not understand, but it matters not anymore, for the grace of God is suffice



God says

And all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble

And the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts...'

Jesus has not returned as yet for God is giving us time



God is perfecting us (like the torrential waterfall that smoothen the rough edges of the rocks it flows past), to make us ready, when He returns

The victory over the death and its master, the devil has been won more than 2000 years back, when Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected.

Eternal life is for all to claim



'..that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage'

Hebrews 2:14-15





It will indeed be a wasted life, not just for us but our loved ones, if we do not even give ourselves the chance of knowing God.



'Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness'

John 3:11



Yet, God has never stopped loving us, for if He has, many of us would not have had the opportunity to testify to His grace( I took 41 years to waken from my slumber)



As the 'blind' who has now seen, we will continue to



'.....Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught'

Luke 5:4



For it is not what we say or share, but the day will come, as you take the first difficult step of responding (difficult because Satan will do his utmost 'worst' to keep you in his quagmire of deceit and lies), the Holy Spirit will lift the blindness in your hearts.



I know my time is not wasted. But it will be a wasted life if the opportunity to know God is snatched away because one tarried too long.
