....And we have made lies our refuge,
And under falsehood have we hid ourselves'
Isaiah 28:15
While I do have a friend who is one of the foremost medical specialists in dealing with this issue of 'beauty' that many value, I am but a novice.
The only 'beauty' accoutrement of worthwhile note in my limited armoury is the famous 'beauty' soap, Lux.
Of course, that is passe, and today, women and men are never short of the necessary accompaniments to transforming themselves into a 'new you'
'..Line upon line, line upon line,
Here a little, and there a little..'
Isaiah 28:10
While the grace of God is sufficient for the day, for many, they wish that the dollops of expensive cream that they applied, the pull and stretches that they undergo on their heavenly or often less than heavenly bodies, and the less than succulent sucking of lipo-suction or the uplift(sadly not spiritual) of selective areas deemed to be more desirous if raised to higher grounds, will last.
Like the beautiful flowers, our physical body will wither and die and go back to its original state, dusts.
What about our soul??
It is ever thirsting for peace(many are translating that yearning into yoga or whatever seems momentarily desirable) even if our shell has at least temporarily been pushed and punched into our 'ideal' configuration.
'To whom He(ie God) said,
This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest;
And this is the refreshing; yet they would not hear.
But the Word of God was unto them'
Isaiah 28:12-13
Today, as Too Ngee shared with us his vision of seeing Jesus disembarking from a beautiful white horse, we are reminded of how much a privilege it is for all to receive God's grace every day in our lives and beyond. And how pleasing it is to God when we learn to put Him first in our lives.
'It is better to trust in the Lord. Than to put confidence in man'
Psalm 118:8
As Vivian rightly pointed out, God must be the centre of all our lives, just as Psalm 118:8 is the verse smacked right in the middle of the Word of God.
God is with us always, but are we??
'Come and let us return unto the Lord;
For He hath torn, and He will heal us;
He hath smitten, and He will bind us up.
After two days will He revive us;
In the third day He will raise us up
And we shall live in His sight'
Hosea 6:1-2
This is God's promise to all who believe.
That while our lives might often be warped and our physical forms might be gnarled or even when things looks like it is being shredded beyond description, God heals and God will reveal His love and grace, at His time.
'....that ye put on the new man(or woman), which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness'
Ephesians 4:24
We are made in the image of God. To look like God, we will have to look to Him.
God Blesses
