Fans of the old Cowboy and Red Indian westerns might sniff at the efficacy of the gathering of believers this afternoon in the Lord's presence. But then, time with God is not about man's understanding, but about man's desire to draw on the infinite love and grace of our Divine God.
'for where 2 or 3 are gathered in My name, there am I in the midst of them'
Mathew 6:34
A 'pow wow' if my memory does not fail me is an impromptu gathering of Indian chiefs in a wigwam, a meeting of minds to decide how best to deal with the wiles and cunning of the encroaching 'white' men.
As a believer, we are often asked, "how do you know that you are hearing God right and responding correctly to His will???"
Whilst never desired but always a pretty good indication that I am right with God, is at times when my heart is prompted by the Holy Spirit to be desirous of doing something, but circumstances seems determined to undermine, if not stop it.
Spiritual attacks are part and parcel of a believer's walk.
In fact, while never asked for, one must be like the Apostle Paul, thankful that God allows us to have such thorns in our flesh. It keeps us mindful of our sinful weaknesses, makes us very cognizance that the devil is very real, and ensure that we will, without much prompting look to the ever faithful and loving God.
'never give place to the devil'
Ephesians 4:27
As I was preparing to put to words the experiences and thoughts that God gave me the past few days,
a rare bout of anxiousness seemed to envelope me with an unexplainable palpitation of my heart.
An anxiety attack??
Maybe, looking at the PC ie personal computer triggered my long dormant fears of PC(ie production credit)
Yet, thankfully, the experiences of God's grace in my walk with Him the past few years and the knowledge that even the devil needs the Lord's approval help me to learn to will my fears and needs to rest with the Lord.
A simple heartfelt prayer to the Lord helps to quickly douse the flickering flames of this devilish challenge.
'.......because thou canst not make one hair white or black'
Mathew 5:36
We have many people of great wisdom around us.
Problem is that visually, you cannot tell by looking at their crown of glory, for botox has straightened the wrinkles and crinkles of wisdom, and jet-black dye is the popular colour of choice.
'Take therefore no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof'
Mathew 6:34
So, why are the majority of us still a POW??(ie a prisoner of worry)
'No man can serve two masters......
You cannot serve God and mammon....'
Mathew 6:24
Some will counter and say, you the blessed could indulge time with your God because He has blessed you materially.
You have the time and means to 'live by faith' and indulge in self-actualization for your basic needs of food and shelter are met.
'...but it is the same God which worketh in all'
1 Corinthians 12:6
'He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds'
Psalm 147:3
If things of the world, be it money, position or power could buy peace and joy, why would many today or eons back, endowed with plentiful fruits of the material world, in his or her woeful tone lament that their WOW is not an expression of joy but that of a 'wall of wariness??'
'I have spoken unto you.........but ye hearkened not unto Me'
Jeremiah 35:14
God wants us the believers
'To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to them that are bound...'
Isaiah 61:1
God wants you the unsure to
'...put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him'
Colossians 3:10
'And let the peace of God rule in your hearts.....'
Colossians 3:15
To know God, to claim your rightful place in Heaven and peace and joy on earth, you will have to
break out of this encirclement of lies and deceit placed by the Satanic forces, for Satan wants your soul.
You have to want to look to God and reach out to grasp His loving hands
'stand in awe and sin not'
Psalm 4:4
Why not instead of miring yourselves in a mountain of worries, wariness and an attitude of whatever but God, why not start by acknowledging and asking God to
'Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my thoughts;
And see if there be any wicked way in me
And lead me in the way everlasting'
Psalm 139:23-24
God hears you, He will respond, but will you????
God Blesses

The family saga continues...
- two days back the son had a traumatic ulcer, a horrible moonscape depression-like crater in his mouth. Now, he is finally laying off sweets.
- yesterday, the daughter had a runny looking swelling gum,now she brushes her teeth 3 times a day, 3 minutes per session instead of the quicksilver 30secs
- me, until today, i felt dizzy the last few days and had a very bad eye strain. Too much time spend looking at things of the world which caters to my lust but gives me anxiety.
In contrast, time with God and in His words always gives brings me to a new plateau of peace and joy.
What about you???
