A client of mine holding a very senior management position in one of the largest conglomerate in his home country called me yesterday to inform me of his decision to 'get off the corporate treadmill.' In his late 40s, he has been working very hard in an honest manner at perfecting his career.
He decided that it was better to be alive and kicking now, than be a potential but near dead future Chairman of his company.
The beginnings of ill-health was the catalyst to correct what has been troubling him the last couple of years, but which was ignored as it was difficult to walk away when one is near to collecting the prizes of the world ; pride, prestige and power.
Man gladly gives their all including their soul to the devil, for what is actually temporal, but gives short shrift to what is eternal from God
Yet, it is not because they do not know God, but rather they do not want to take the first step to get to know God.
Still, God's outstretched loving hands are there for us to grasp. God continues to send many witnesses to testify to His glory and help to light up your view of Him
'Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you'

God speaks to us, if only we choose to pay attention. God is the Word, the Word is God. The bible is there if you only want to pick it up

Often, most only recognise the darkness enveloping their lives, when the brightness of Satan's illusions are removed, often painfully.
