#8a A tale of God's faithfulness

A tale of God’s faithful giving

1. God made man in His glory

‘And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man becomes a living soul’
Genesis 2:7

Adam disobeyed God,
so man lost the privilege of walking with God in the garden of Eden

‘So God drove out the man’
Genesis 3:24

And man’s life became painful and finite
‘for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return’
Genesis 3:19

2. God made Israel His chosen people

‘You only have I known of all the families of the earth..’
Amos 3:2

Yet, Israel chose to disobey God ever so often

‘But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they walked not in My statutes……’
Ezekiel 19:13

‘therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities’
Amos 3:2

3. God made a new covenant. Salvation was offered to all(both Jew and Gentiles) who believed.

‘So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many’
Hebrews 9:28

Yet, many of us are blinded to our sins and God’s loving grace, until we are afflicted.

‘Before I was afflicted I went astray but now I have kept thy Word’
Psalm 119:67

4. God is ever faithful, ever forgiving

‘I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me’
Psalm 119:75

5. God and I

When God gives, I must be willing to receive and trust and obey.

‘Can two walk together, except they be agreed?’
Amos 3:3

6. God wants to make our wrong, right

The glory of God left us when Adam sinned. If we believe and repent and obey, the Spirit of God resides in us.

‘ye are the temple of the loving God, as God hath said; “I will dwell in them and walk in them and I will be their God and they shall be my people’
2 Corinthians 6:16

7. In receiving, we who are saved must give, for this is the will of God

‘…by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies, a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service’
Romans 12:1

‘Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven’
Mathew 5:16

For God wants all to be saved, to receive the gift of salvation given to all, if only they truly believed

‘Behold I send My messenger before Your face who will prepare Your way before You’
Mathew 11:10

You, the believers are that messenger

‘Render to Cesar the things that are Cesar’s and to God the things that are God’s’
Mark 12:17
