Who is my best friend??

A) God is more than a friend, He is our Father

God’s promise to all who believe in Him

‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’
Hebrews 13:5

Be reassured, God is always in control

‘Count it all joy when you fall into various trials’
James 1:2

Be faithful, for God will lead you

‘This also comes from the Lord of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance’

‘For He instructs him in right judgement. His God teaches him.’
Isaiah 28:26

B) You are more than a friend, you are my brothers in Christ

‘Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works’
Hebrews 10:24

‘Meet together in God’s presence………., exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.’
Hebrews 10:25


C) Yet why aren’t you my true friend??

‘Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted. Which did eat of my bread. Hath lifted up his heel against me.’

D) How can you be a brother in Christ

- focus on God and not on men

‘not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men;’
Ephesians 6:6-7


E) What kind of God is He who allows pain??

‘Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf’
1 Peter 4:16

F) Lets ignore Him, but can we??

G) Lets not ignore Him, but pretend to know Him

H) To know God, is to cut links with the world

I) Not to know God, is to become enemies of God??

‘Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?’

J) To know God is to draw near to Him
