#26 Why not - introduction(5feb2005)

Dear ...

I guess I am not very good at keeping self-made resolutions.
While pictures do 'speak a thousand words(and I think I might have given all an overflowing pixel worth of family photos yesterday), nothing can ever come close when God speaks to us through His Words.

As we end the lunar year, I have many things to be thankful for.
My friends, my family, both my parents who had, by God's grace the opportunity to lead the family at the reunion dinner tonite, instead of being in the hospital, as was in the case the last couple of weeks, in consecutive succession.

What about you my friends?
Life has never been easy for all of us in this is a sinful world.
Pain doesn't differentiate, but thankfully, God's love does not too.

Can we be like Job? that man of God, who in his very difficult and seemingly inequitable situation, moved from questioning God to understanding and trusting in God's awesomeness and love for us

'I know that thou canst do everything.
And that no thought can be withholden from thee
.......
Therefore have I uttered that I understood not;
Things too wonderful for me, which I knew not'
Job 42:1-3

Why not start the year forgetting about whether you are an iron ox like me, a golden rooster or some other lowly denizens of this world.
Instead, why not take up your rightful place and inheritance as the person God made in His image.
Why not will yourselves to look to God, to will yourselves to imitate God in every aspect of your lives.

God will not let you walk alone, for He is always next to you, it just that we never noticed.

'I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy, for I am holy'
Leviticus 11:44

God Blesses
